  • Read aloud. This comes naturally to lots of new parents, but it's important to keep it up. Kids will enjoy it longer than you think.

  • Feed the favorite-author addiction. Once your kids find a writer they love, they may want to read all of his or her books

  • Count on the classics. Classic books entertain generation after generation

  • Celebrate interests. Find books about the things your child loves.
